Welcome to Tom Gannon Art, and thank you for visiting my website. I must confess that its existence is a matter of profound wonder to me. Up until September 2015, I had no idea that I would ever have one. But when my book of poetry, Food for a Journey, was published in that month, it seemed like a good idea to develop a website in order to help present the book to the public. (Unsurprisingly, you will find copious references to the book throughout the website.) Then, because I had an individual show of my paintings a few years ago, and have participated in several other painting and printmaking shows in the years since, it seemed like another good idea to add a page on paintings and prints to the site. Finally, because I have written a number of short stories — unpublished, but some encouraging rejection letters — it seemed like a third good idea to add prose to the poetry. An old friend, law firm colleague, and technological wonderworker, Maureen Ward, did the heavy lifting in setting up the site. I am so grateful to her. As for the site itself, I hope you’ll find the contents interesting, even enjoyable. And so, as my publisher, Rennie McQuilkin, likes to say, “Onward!”
